This book is personal. Jennifer was weightlifting when she wrote it — at a time when the gym, and the people in it, saved her sanity. Sofía was inspired by a real girl with Down Syndrome, the daughter of a fellow author. This book exists because sometimes the gym is the only place that makes sense — and because every kid deserves to be the hero of the story.
